Friday, March 03, 2006 || Dream Diary: The two brothers
Yesterday night, I had the weirdest, longest dream of my life!
The only reason I actually remember them is because when I woke up, still drifting in that state of foggy half-consciousness, I grabbed my diary (which is always beside my bed) and wrote it all down before I forgot 'em.
This dream is weird, because it didn't involve me AT ALL. Usually, I should be the center of my own attention, right? =/ It was sort of like an old movie that played out before my eyes. And no worries, no kinky stuff. =(
The context of the dream isn't as complicated as what I'm going to describe, but I'm just going to assume a lot of stuff as well.
OK, first in the dream, there was a guy in a business suit (oooo la la), having dinner with his family. Guy was blonde, sort of resembled Heath Ledger. And the whole family dinner thing looked traditional, definitely not modern. He looked serious and really professional, like a businessman, with a trophy, regular family.
Then it flashed to another scene. This time, I'm assuming it to be a flashback. Okay, we all know that dreams are mostly quite disorientated, but the main gist of it is a woman having two babies. And she gave her older kid away ... while she was crying on a bus (wtf?) grieving the older son, someone accidentally pushed her and she dropped the baby. Thus, baby #2 is disfigured.
I KNOW it's stupid. Anyway ...
Then it flashed to another scene, this time of a young man weeping on a humoungous, silver twirling stairs, the kind you see in movies. He sorta looked like Bryan Greenberg, though that's pretty weird, isn't he supposed to be disfigured? There was a maid watching him. The whole thing looked so out of this century and SURREAL.
MY interpretation of the dream: Older son that lacked love from mother fought for his education, etc, and build up a successful career, started a family. He radiates success and mediocrity.
But that's just where he will be for the rest of his life; mediocre. Which is why the whole dinner thing looked so formal and traditional.
Second son probably inherited the family wealth. Second son is smart, witty, creative, probably aspires to be a singer, painter or anything "artsy". But he is bound to the responsibilities of his birth, and finds no way to slip out of the cage in which he's trapped in.
He has all the potential in the world to be great; but circumstances won't allow him to pursue it. The maid watching him is probably in love with him, but their love, as usual, is forbidden.
Two brothers, two different lives, two destinies. Both confined in the walls of their Fates.
HAHAHAHA. I believe I think too much.
Nevertheless, cool dream right? I seriously feel like writing a story based on the dream I described above. It may have been a sign, ay?
I'm not good at writing, but I've always wanted to write a book. Not that I want it to get published or anything, but I just want to feel that sense of self-satisfaction.
